The complication is that I bought a tube of "Panthenol" (evo laboratories) and it turned out to have loads of other things in it including wax and edta. And wikipedia shows a Bayer tube with yet other things in. Those other things might be ok but they aren't panthenol. Where to get a tube of simple panthenol?
I also heard from my hair dresser not to use this. I have noticed my hair gets a build up and actually falls out. My scalp breaks out also if I use products with this in.
I have found that with continual use of products containing panthenol, there is indeed a waxy build up. It took me several weeks to identify the culprit, by isolating and eliminating each product individually. I only managed to remove this waxy mess after eliminating the panthenol containing products from the equation.
Is it safe for ingestion? Kids eating/ licking hair?
I don't know if I should believe this or not because my mother's hair dresser states otherwise. So it makes me wonder if this "investigation" is to hide the truth about Pathenol to somehow help those who sell these products containing pathenol or if they are telling the truth. Now I am off to a different website to see if they may dissagree with what the person who typed this says.

Panthenol has been in the hair industry for over 50 years. Hands down, it is one of the best products for your hair across the board for hair growth, hair moisture, hair protection against heat, etc. It will not build up on your hair or weigh it down. If you are looking for Panthenol in it's truest form that is safe to use both in your hair and on your skin, look for a 5% Panthenol Treatment that is dye and fragrance free. It is recommended by thousands of hair dressers all over the country.
